Denbigh Castle
Spanning two marketing area’s the County of Denbighshire is very unique. In the North, the Coastal Resorts of Rhyl and Prestatyn attract the day trip family market. The county then spans southwards through the castled towns of Rhuddlan and Denbigh, ending with the market towns of Ruthin, Llangollen and Corwen which attract the cultural tourism visitor.“We needed a solution that not only helped us to maintain our current database of customers, but also provided reports at the touch of a button, on how well our campaigns were performing. “Sally, Steve and the team at Tiscover provided on-site training, and initially went through the steps for setting up the module with the system administrators, and then provided tailored training for the system operators from the County’s TIC’s.
Since its installation, Ian has used the Tiscover system to help manage the County’s distribution system as well as manage their mailing lists for advertisers, tourism groups and even the Leisure department’s fishing competition!
“I’m a great fan of the distributor group, it’s made my life and our operations so much easier” Ian said. “In the past we had all of our databases fragmented over different servers, and found it extremely difficult to reconcile them. One business would appear on several databases, and the process of amending or deleting them from each database was difficult and inefficient. Now, with Tiscover, I can create one record for each business and add them to which ever distribution groups I require.” It also allows me to print off labels for each business that has responded to our distribution service and sorts them by postcode, which makes it great for the courier as well.”
Denbighshire is now in its second year with Tiscover and is getting ready to export its database for a Christmas mailing campaign. With a few clicks of the mouse, a filtered database can be exported to the mailing company to allow the postcards to be mailed out.
