Tiscover – Destination Management System

To name but one project, Tiscover provided the complete back office and booking software for the Scottish tourism platform, VisitScotland.com. Tiscover also receiveda major order to build a new tourism portal for Montenegro, including booking technology, web design and marketing. The new Montenegro.travel website goes online on the occasion of the 2008 ITB Berlin.
As part of a consortium consisting of EC3 Networks as contractor, Siemens, Lixto,
and eCTRL, Tiscover accepted a bid to develop the new tourism portal for Finland,
VisitFinland.com. The new website will provide users with online booking services, video services, community networking tools, and mobile services. For this project, Tiscover develops not only the concept and the design, but also a destination management system.

Tiscover Facts

Tiscover was founded under the name “TIS GmbH” as a limited company with its head office in Innsbruck, Tirol, Austria, in 1991. It soon developed the first electronic tourism information system in Austria. In 1995, TIS@WEB, one of the world’s first travel websites, went online for the first time. This historic event was followed by a
number of international marketing partnerships. In 2000, Tiscover AG was founded as a listed company and legal successor of TIS GmbH. Today, Tiscover manages tourism portals in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Great Britain, and South Africa, and ranks among the most renowned partners and developers of Internet
travel portals for regions and entire countries – such as Scotland or Montenegro.
