Some 240,000 bookings and booking requests processed through www.tiscover.com in November and December 2007. Compared to the figures of 2006 this means an increase of more than 40%. Then “only” 170,000 bookings and inquiries were handled. According to Tiscover’s executive board director, Konrad Plankensteiner, there are several reasons for this: “Unlike in 2006 we had great weather conditions and plenty of snow already in November 2007! Moreover we offered even more bookable accommodation in all price categories. And we have further improved the contents offered, e.g. our new presentation of more than 800 ski areas in the Alps!” Altogether more than one million bookings and booking requests were processed by www.tiscover.com in 2007.

Last year the platform www.tiscover.com recorded 22 million unique clients and 410 million page impressions. Compared to previous years a noticeable trend towards online bookings can be noticed. In 2007 40% of all bookings came from Germany, 23% from Austria and 7% from the Netherlands. Inquiries concerned mostly 4-star hotels (21%), private rooms and farm holidays (19%) and apartments (15%). 28% of users booked one-week stays, 17% booked one-night stays.
